A little about your data.

This notice covers the private Cais beta waitlist, managed by the Cais beta administration. Joining the list requests an invitation; it does not create a Cais account or guarantee access.

What we keep

Your first name, last name and email address, when you joined, your acknowledgement of this notice, and the status of your application and invitations. Short-lived hashed network identifiers help limit abuse. Hosting providers may also process technical connection data.

What happens next

An administrator reviews requests and may approve access as a User or Curator. Your details are used to manage the beta and send access-related messages. Joining does not subscribe you to advertising or a marketing newsletter.

If you are approved

Your name and email are shared with Apple to invite you to TestFlight. Our email provider, Resend, processes your email address and the access message, including your temporary invitation code. These services may process data in other countries. An Apple invitation installs the beta; Cais access still requires the personal code and acceptance of the app’s terms and privacy policy.

Your account stays separate

Waitlist names and addresses are not public and are not sent to the editorial AI. Once you create a Cais account, the app Privacy Policy applies to its library, history and account data. Your role can be changed by the administrator.

Keeping and removing your request

We retain the request while administering your beta invitation. You can ask to leave the list or request correction or removal. Removing an active Cais account also removes its waitlist entry and cancels any queued access email. Messages already sent and data processed independently by Apple or the email provider follow their own policies. Restricted backups may retain earlier records until their normal removal; they are not used to send invitations.
